Autumn Wishlist

There's definitely been a noticeable change in the weather here in the UK over the last week - the temperature has dropped, the sky is grey and the leaves have started to fall.

It's got me all excited about my Autumn 2016 wardrobe! Here's what I'm looking to buy this season...

DIY | Green Tea Face Mask

I love green tea and when possible, I use natural skincare and so I loved it when I heard the idea of combining them both. I never use any sort of abrasive scrubs on my skin, preferring masks or cleansing balms. Here is my recipe for a DIY Green Tea Face Mask...

You Will Need

2 Green Tea Bags
2 Tbsp of Almond Oil
2 Tbsp of Baking Soda

To Make

Mix the almond oil and baking soda together and then cut open the tea bags and add the filling to the mixture. Seal in an airtight container.

London Fashion Week

Last week I was kindly invited by Yahoo Style to attend London Fashion Week. I was so excited to go and check out all that the capital's fashion had to offer and Yahoo had laid on an action-packed day for me!

I started off the morning by having a look around the Designer Showrooms which were located in Brewer Street, the same as the main showspace. It was amazing to see all the fashion up close and even chat to some of the designers. Some of my favourites included Darmaki London - an incredible footwear label and Caine - which had some of the coolest denim pieces.

I then attended a collection preview by Phiney Pet, a brand which I'd heard of via ASOS and then it was time to visit the Boohoo blow dry bar to get my hair done for the show I was going to later. I opted for loose curls and had a snoop around their latest collection before relaxing for a few minutes at their pop-up bar.

The last event of the day was the Ones To Watch show at the Freemason's Hall in Holburn. The building was very grand and the entrance was packed with photographers desperate to get pictures of the celebrities attending. The show itself was incredible - I had never seen anything like it before and I was blown away with the talent of the up-and-coming designers. I was snapchatting the show for Yahoo so I only managed to get pictures of the last designer's collection - Billie Jacobina.

After such a great day I was sad to go home but happy to take off my heels and put my pyjamas on!

Have you been to London Fashion Week?

New Stuff

I've treated myself to a couple of nice new bits and bobs recently and thought I'd share them with you as I haven't done a post like this for a while...

Amazon Nail Varnish Stand

I feel like I neglect so many of my great nail vanish colours because they're stuck at the bottom of my box. I end up wearing the same couple of colours all the time. To solve this problem I bought this fabulous stand from Amazon. It took quite a while to come and I had to put it together myself (you will need a Christmas cracker mini screwdriver!) but I'm really happy with it. I've put it on top of my chest of drawers and it looks great.

Pull & Bear Nude Chain Bag

I really didn't need this bag but as soon as I saw it in the shop, I knew I had to have it! I love the tortoiseshell chain handle - it looks so expensive - and the nude colour is really chic. It's got three sections inside and is actually pretty roomy, so I'm sure I'll end up using it all the time.

Groupon Vera Wang Lovestruck Perfume

This is by far and away the best Groupon purchase I've ever made! It seemed too good to be true when I saw this Vera Wang 100ml perfume for just £19.99! The bottle is absolutely stunning and it smells divine. Best of all? It's now been reduced to £17.99! Go ahead and grab it before it's gone - treat yourself or stock up and give them to your friends for Xmas.

Stradivarius Furry Loafers

These furry Stradivarius loafers are just too cute! Anyone who knows me will tell you I'm obsessed with fluffy, furry things and so these are right up my street. I'll be wearing them all autumn with rolled up jeans and shirts and pinafore dresses and black tights.

My Favourite Things About Autumn

Although I absolutely love the hot weather, I am happy when autumn rolls around. It's my favourite season (probably because my birthday falls in it!) as I love all the cosy things and the fact that it's not as cold as winter! I've made a list of my five favourite things about autumn so read on to check them out...

Candles
I'm so excited that I can light candles now without looking like a crazy person! My favourite scents are the cinnamon and spicy ones so autumn is the perfect time to burn them all. The brands I like best are Wax Lyrical, Aromatherapy Associates and Rewined.

Chunky Knits
Be it scarves, jumpers or blankets, I can never say no to a beautiful knit. My favourite autumn colours are greys, dark greens and oxblood. I also have a few knitted headbands which look stylish whilst keeping you cosy and warm.

Dark Lipsticks
I particularly love a plum lip as it just screams autumn to me! Dark reds and pinks are also perfect for this time of year as they remind me of the leaves on the trees.

Hot Drinks

Whether it's making your own hot chocolate from scratch or popping into a coffee shop to get a latte. I love to indulge in a treat to warm myself up!

Fall Fashion
Autumn is my favourite fashion season. I love the jumpers, ankle boots and lightweight coats. I think that you can wear so many different styles at this time of year and build them up or down depending on how cold the weather is!

Hair Recovery

Hair can become dry and damaged over the summer months and I'm sure many of us have or have had that problem before. I touched upon this in a blog post a couple of weeks ago and had lots people commenting that this was them! I've picked my favourite four products that can help aid your hair back into it's best...

L'Oreal Extraordinary Clay Masque
I bought the Extraordinary Clay range a couple of months ago and this was the product that I was really impressed with. It's aimed at hair with oily roots and dry ends and the idea is that you put the mask on for a couple of minutes and wash it off before you shampoo your hair. The texture of it is quite think so there's no danger of it accidentally washing out whilst your in the shower. I really think it works and after I use this, my hair lasts for one day longer than normal before I wash it again.
L'Oreal Elvive Extraordinary Clay Masque - £5.99 - Get it here

Philip Kingsley Elasticizer
I've spoken about this again and again but it's my favourite hair recovery product. If you have dyed hair then I would completely recommend it as it leaves ends looking and feeling silky smooth. The instructions say to leave it on about 20 minutes but I like to use it overnight with plaited hair and wash it out in the morning for maximum effect.
Philip Kingsley Elasticizer - £30.00 - Get it here

Aussie Miracle Recharger
I've been using this for years, even when my hair hasn't been coloured! I spray it in when my hair is wet after a shower and towel dry it. I really notice a difference when I use it and my hair feels hydrated and bouncy.
Aussie Miracle Recharge Conditioning Spray - £4.69 - Get it here

Swell Volume Masque
I've carried this around in my bag all summer! I put it on the ends of my hair whenever I was in the sun and it really protected it so that when I got home, there wasn't too much work to be done! I love the feel and smell of this and although it's quite expensive, I really think it's worth it.
Swell Ultimate Volume Masque - £26.00 - Get it here
