Christmas Party Makeup & Outfit

Last night I went to a Christmas party with some family and friends so I thought that it would be a good opportunity to share with you some of the makeup I used and the clothes I wore. There was also a lovely meal and lots of dancing too! I'm feeling a bit sleepy today but it was definitely worth it. Read on to check out the products I used and some pictures from the evening...

The Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse is great for my t-zone as it stops skin from looking and feeling oily. I added a little bit of my favourite Clinique blusher and for my eyes I used my Elizabeth Arden eyeshadow and a little bit of my Avon Big and Daring mascara. For my lips I used this beautiful lipstick from the Rosie Huntingdon-Whitely range at M&S.

I included this in my gift guide last year and I had to mention it again. It's a bit on the pricier end of the present scale but for what you get, it's really worth it! This kit gives you salon nail quality gels but from the comfort of your own home. You can update your look by buying from the extra gel polishes in so many great colours!

November Favourites

Today I wanted to share with you my favourites for the month of November. I love this month because you can start getting in the festive spirit and it's also my birthday month too! Read on to check out my November favourites...

Fashion - M&S Limited Edition Jumper
I picked this jumper up when I was getting my Beauty Advent Calendar and wasn't too sure about it but I've found myself wearing it a lot this month. I like how it's got the simplicity of a black jumper but with an updated twist and I'm sure I will be reaching for it again and again this winter.

Book - Game of Scones
As a baking and a Game of Thrones fan, this was the perfect birthday present for me to receive. I'm still laughing about the jokes and puns inside two weeks later!

Makeup - Bourjois Eye Liner Pen
I mentioned that I had bought this to replace my trusty Collection felt tip liner in a post last month. I really love the application of this eyeliner as it's so streamlined that it makes it easy. It's long lasting too which is a bonus so I'm happy with my find!

Gravity Force Trampoline Park

Today I had an awesome trip to a Gravity Force trampoline park. It was great fun but also a really good workout. There was loads to do with lots of individual trampolines, foam pits and even basketball hoops.

I'd really recommend Gravity Force for fun or fitness - find your nearest park here.

Weekend Baking | Blackberry & Apple Pie

I really love to bake pies this time of year as I think that they are perfect for a cold evening or an accompaniment for a Sunday lunch. Blackberry and apple is my favourite filling and so this weekend I thought that I would share my recipe with you. Read on to check out how to make it...

You Will Need
Makes 1 Large Pie

For the pastry
200g of Plain Flour
100g of Unsalted Butter
A Splash of Water

For the filling
3 Medium Cooking Apples
200g of Blackberries
75g of Caster Sugar
A Splash of Water

To Make

1) To make the pastry, rub the flour and butter together until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs, add a splash of water to bring the mixture together into a dough and set aside in the refrigerator
2) For the filling, peel and core the apples and then slice. Place in a saucepan with the blackberries, sugar and water to soften for around 5-10 minutes
3) Take the pastry out of the fridge and roll out into two large circles, bigger than your pie tin. Use one for the inside then spoon the filling over the top
4) Cut heart shapes into the pastry, removing the middle then place the other sheet of pastry over the filling
5) Use any extra pastry for decoration and then bake at 180 for 25-35 minutes or until golden brown
6) Serve and enjoy!
